But this horseshoe's luck just might have set me free from it all…

In the peak of the pandemic, I used to finish work on Friday nights and have a couple beers, put on my headphones and hit play on a recorded concert. One night, I watched Oasis Live at Southend Cliffs Pavilion from 1995 and I was just totally captivated by the way they played "Rock 'N' Roll Star," especially as an opener.
It wasn't like I was hearing the song for the first time or anything, but for some reason, it really stuck with me that night. Specifically, the line, "In my mind my dreams are real… Cause tonight I'm a rock and roll star." I just felt it so heavily, probably because we hadn't played a show in years at the point and I was missing everything about it, but that made me wanna write a song about how I felt those same feelings in my own way. From that, "King of the Bar" was born, and soon recorded live off the floor with no click track to emulate the eccentric sound of live music.
Listen to "King of the Bar" on streaming platforms everywhere.
The specific memory that I'm reminiscing on in the song is one of the last shows we played before COVID at the Horseshoe Tavern and it was one of the first times we had a really big crowd show up and things started to feel real. That's why the chorus of the song is all about how amazing it feels to be able to play shows like that and have your biggest dreams not only realized, but also made possible by a room full of strangers.
The energy we get from a big show is what keeps us going and working towards being able to quit our day jobs and just play music full time.
Thank you for listening, supporting and helping us get closer to that dream every day.
